Diagnosis and clinical characteristics of children with speech delay

Purpose: This study aimed to determine the diagnoses, sociodemographic and clinical features of patients who applied child psychiatry outpatient clinic with speech delay, relationship between these psychiatric diagnoses.
 Materials Methods: The data from 152 presented delay were retrospectively analyzed. Demographic characteristics participants including; birth history, comorbidities, caregiver information, bilingualism, screen exposure, family history parental psychopathology diagnoses examined.
 Results: Of 78.9% (n=120) boys mean age was 34.6±8.2 months. rate being exposed (more than one hour) 55.9%, presence a 36.2%, 28.9%. children 36.2% diagnosed autism spectrum disorder (ASD), 27.0% stimulus deficiency (SD), 20.4% cognitive developmental (CDD) 16.4% language (LD). Family found be higher in groups ASD SD. Chronic medical disease CDD exposure SD group compared other groups.
 Conclusion: is important terms knowing rates determining factors that may affect this condition, taking preventive measures early period.
